Dr Alex England graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in London and has practised across the UK and Australia, with a focus on nutrition and senior pet care. At Lyka, he leads scientific research, turning the latest evidence into practical advice for pet owners and vets, and regularly speaks to veterinary students at universities.
It was his family dog, Georgie, an English Cocker Spaniel, who first inspired him to become a vet. When Georgie switched to a lightly cooked, fresh food diet at 16, her energy and appetite improved noticeably — a turning point that shaped how Dr England thinks about diet, senior dog health, and integrative veterinary practices.
